Repeat, its types and functions in N. E. Mordinov-Amma Achchygyia’s novel “Saasky kem”

The article is devoted to the individual style of the Yakut folk writer, master of artistic expression N. E. Mordinov-Amma Achchygyia. The purpose of the work is to study the varieties and artistic functions of repetitions in the novel “Saasky kem” (“Springtime”). The scientific novelty of the article lies in the description of the types and functions of repetitions in this novel. The study has shown that due to the use of various types of repetition in the prose speech of N. E. Mordinov a special rhythmicity and melodiousness is created. It has been revealed that repetitions located in five to six sentences provide structural cohesion of the text, and anadiplosis in Mordinov's text turns into a chained connection. The main objectives of the article are to designate the types of repetitions and reveal their functions. The work will be of interest to specialists engaged in the study of the writer's individual style and syntax.
