Efficiency improvement of cavitation-based wastewater treatment in food industry through polyharmonic ultrasonic exposure

Бесплатный доступ

The article examines methods for efficiency improvement of cavitation-based wastewater treatment in food industry enterprises through the use of polyharmonic ultrasonic exposure. The study presents the results of investigating the effects of various frequency modes on the dynamics of cavitation bubbles and the degree of pollutant degradation. It is shown that the application of polyharmonic ultrasound allows to simultaneously use both low-frequency (high energy collapse) and high-frequency (high speed oscillation) advantages of cavitation, promoting more complete decomposition of organic pollutants and disinfection of wastewater. The study provides recommended ultrasonic treatment parameters for different types of contaminants. The research results confirm the potential of polyharmonic ultrasound in wastewater treatment systems from both environmental and energy efficiency perspectives.
