Improving the effectiveness of training cadets of a military university in the discipline "Ecology"

The article discusses the features of teaching the discipline «Ecology» in a military university, contributing to improving the effectiveness of the educational process. The author notes that the formation of environmental culture of cadets is a necessary condition in the process of their military training. An integrative approach to environmental education is considered as an important condition for organizing the process of formation and development of environmental culture of cadets, which involves interdisciplinary communication with subjects of the natural science cycle and technical disciplines, as well as the use of modern innovative educational technologies in the training of cadets, focused on the development of practical skills, creative and research abilities. The use of interactive forms and methods of teaching, a system of interdisciplinary educational tasks, the performance of laboratory work in order to develop experimental skills in ecology, the organization of research activities of cadets provide better assimilation of program material, increase cognitive interest in the subject, contribute to the formation of ecological culture.
