The article considers the influence of natural mineral additives (bentonite) on pork fattening characteristics. The efficiency of such additives is determined by their regulating influence on the intensity of the processes of digesting and insorption of intermediate and final products. The prospect for the use of bentonite is proved by economic problems connected with the reduction of feed costs per item of production.Meat and meat products nutrition value depends on the concentration of proteins, fat, vitamins, macro- and microelements as well as essential amino acids in protein and unsaturated fatty acids in fat. Rich mineral content of bentonites combined with sorbing, buffering and ion-exchange features of clay minerals give reasons to think that physical and chemical properties of clay provide efficiency by means of regulatory mechanisms of metabolism activation. The author gives dynamics of live weight and daily average pig growth, meat and slaughter qualities, development of their internal organs. The use of bentonite in a pig diet increases total growth of live weight within the whole period of feeding. The use of 3% of bentonite in a diet contributes to the increase of slaughter yield, carcass length, area of a muscular eye and the reduction of fat depth.By the results of research economic efficiency of bentonite use is calculated.
