The article deals with the content of the activities of the psychology supervisor concerning the teaching practice of a future teacher as a means of professional and personal development. The paper substantiates a way to organize teaching practice that contributes to the transformation of the students from an object to a subject of learning activities and fosters their personal and professional development. The paper reviews the methods of enhancing the effective collaboration between a psychology supervisor and students intending to be involved in teaching practice. The author proposes to make organizational amendments to practical training. It means it is necessary to revise the number of hours allotted for practical guidance and extend the authority of psychology teachers. In addition, the article presents ways to reorganize the system of preparing students for teaching practice through the allocation of academic hours according to the curricular and regulation of the consulting system. The implementation of the proposed system ensures the professional effectiveness of teaching practice, allows one to enhance the role of the psychology supervisor during the teaching practice and develop the position of a future teacher as an actor. Besides, it serves to gain experience and contributes to further professional and personal growth of a specialist.
