The pragmatic characteristics of the texts of the politicians’ address in Russia and Germany on the subject of the “Coronavirus pandemic”: ritual aspect

The article deals with the characteristics of the address of V.V. Putin and A. Merkel, devoted to the coronavirus outbreak. The analysis is conducted by the scheme, taking into consideration the typical participants, chronotopes, aims, values, strategies, tactics and discursive formulas of address. There is concluded that the address of the politicians implements the functions, that are typical for the ritual communication. However, there is observed the gradual deritualization of the communication in the context of the decrease of the situation’s crisis.
