Practices of children's social ethnotourism in the Tyumen region

The article discusses the practical organization of children's social tourism in the Tyumen region. The goal of the research- to show that, with government support, it is possible to realize tourist project as well as revealing the essence of these projects. The hypothesis of the research is to study the possibilities of applying in practice the theoretical achievements of scientists involved in tourism (teachers from the university environment) with the goal of introducing children to different ethnic cultures. The work involved empirical methods of research, orientated to studying a cluster in which implementation of children's ethnotourism is possible. The cluster approach helped to formulate a social (non-commercial) tourist product, the implementation of which contributed to the temporary organization of children's excursion trips with the goal of introducing them to the ethic culture of neighboring settlements. At the same time, for the realization of the idea of cross-cultural interactions, three ethic groups were chosen - Russian (Siberian Cossacks), Tatar (Siberian Tatars) and Komi-Zyryan. As a result, a series of excursions were developed for children of middle school age from settlements located within the same municipality (Yalutorovsk district of the Tyumen region). With the financial help from the Presidential Grants Fund, the project achieved it's practical implementation. The project showed that tourist-recreational resources in rural areas of the Tyumen region fully satisfied the requirements of designing domestic tourism products and solving important social problems facing modern Russian society: fostering respect to other peoples and cultures, tolerance, etc. The following experience can be used when designing excursion products in other regions of the Russian Federation. Having transformed (due to financial questions), it can be further implemented in those municipalities where routes were tested.
