Legal analysis of Soviet legislation regulating free enterprise zones

This article examines the Soviet legislation regulating the activities of joint ventures with foreign participation, free enterprise zones in the period from 1987 to 1991. The relevance of this study lies in the fact that the attempts of the USSR leadership to attract foreign investors were unsuccessful, since simply providing a set of certain benefits and preferences is not enough for the successful functioning of territories with a special legal status.
