Legal and psychological aspects of interrelated clinician - patient conflicts

Бесплатный доступ

In modern Russia, conflicts between patients, their relatives and medical workers are increasingly common. Patients are increasingly dissatisfied with the quality, availability and untimeliness of medical care, which is why the number of appeals to law enforcement agencies is growing. As a rule, patients know their rights, but do not know or do not want to know their responsibilities, one of which is respect for the doctor’s rights. The article pres-ents an analysis of the causes of conflicts between medical workers, patients and their relatives. The main causes of conflicts are the inability to receive timely and high-quality medical care due to the reduction of hospitals and doctor rates, the lack of knowledge of medical law among doctors and the inability to use psychological communi-cation techniques with conflict patients, the low social status of the doctor, incorrectly executed primary medical documentation, impunity of patients when causing physical and moral harm to a medical worker. In addition, there is no legal framework to protect the doctor.
