The article deals with the festive and everyday life as phenomena of cultural communication. The purpose of communication includes the only-in person and society. Dialectics holiday and everyday con-is through the prism of the chronotop. At the same time, the chronotop is the space-time continuum. The potential possibility of personal transcendence is revealed in the phenomenon of conviviality, therefore, the author analyzes the holiday as a specifically meaningful environment. Features festive chronotop are to ensure all conditions for communicative connection with the most important cultural values of the society. Everyday life, is regarded as the rhythm of the communicative process and forming vital connections of structural elements in the culture. Dialectics holidays and everyday in the article disclosed in the example of a Christian holiday traditions and extrapolated to a system of secular holidays. Here emphasizes the relationship of the idea of Absolute and “higher senses” social existence, proves the functional significance of the phenomenon of the holiday as a backbone of cultural traditions. This cultural tradition is designed to strengthen basic cultural values.
