Continuity of Goals, Content and Methodological Support of Students of Schools and Universities in Preparation for Mathematics Olympiads

The article considers the observance of the principle of continuity in the goals, content and methodological support of preparing students for mathematics olympiads. It is noted that the olympiad movement is an important element of the mathematical education system, ensuring the formation of a sustainable interest in the discipline, the development of creative abilities, research skills and professional growth of students. It is shown that continuity is manifested in the consistency of goals and values, methodological systems, approaches used and the content of olympiad tasks at diff erent levels of education. The forms of organizing the training of schoolchildren and students are analyzed, similarities and diff erences in methodological techniques are identifi ed. A lack of systematized materials for university practice is noted. A conclusion is made about the need to create digital resources, expand mentoring support and develop uniform criteria for assessing achievements, which will allow building a cross-cutting trajectory of participant development from school to student olympiads.
