Termination of the criminal case, issues of departmental control

The article analyzes the problems associated with ensuring compliance with federal legislation by preliminary investigation bodies, the implementation of the powers of the head of the investigative body upon termination of a criminal case (criminal prosecution). The analysis of the norms of criminal procedure legislation regarding the implementation of departmental control of the activities of investigators is carried out, mechanisms for improving control activities in the system of law enforcement agencies are proposed.
