Teaching piano jazz in the children's music school: problems and prospects

The author analyzes the methodological and theoretical positions and contradictions of teaching piano jazz piano in primary education, which contributed to the piano education division into Art and Jazz schools. The author also names the reasons that undermine jazz study process at children's music school and piano education either. This paper has analysis of education programs and guidance papers devoted to piano jazz artistic performance of a primary educational unit. Their benefits and disadvantages are considered. The prospects for further development of primary piano education can be seen in solving of urgent problems and implementation of such educational methods, which would form lead to realization of preparation of students for performance of piano music in different style directions and genres.
