Foreign language teaching in modern non-linguistic educational establishment: goals, methods and forms of educational interaction

The article is devoted to topical issues of teaching a foreign language in a modern non-linguistic higher educational establishments. The authors demonstrate how the demands of society affect the construction of educational process, selection of educational methods and forms of interaction between a teacher and a student. It is pointed that the teacher gradually ceases to be the center of the educational process, providing more educational autonomy to students. Long teaching experience allows the authors to offer their own methods, considering the professional specifics of the conservatory and the medical university. Special attention is paid to the combination of modern and classical, time-tested techniques and forms of work, which allows to conclude that they should be skillfully combined within the framework of a communicative approach to language teaching.
