The paper describes the development and application of educational quest-technology in the learning experience of a Military Higher Education Institution. The main stages of the implementation of this technology are described in detail. Criteria and indicators for assessing the level of communicative competence formation when applying it in the course of the Foreign Language discipline are defined. Based on the results of the pedagogical experiment, it was proved that the quests ensure the development of cadets' sense of personal responsibility for the acquisition of knowledge and skills, form a positive attitude towards learning a foreign language, develop students' communicative abilities as well as form the professionally important qualities necessary for a competent military specialist. Pedagogical experiment proved the effectiveness of applying educational quest-technology in the learning experience of a Military Higher Education Institution in the course of studying the discipline “Foreign Language”.
