Usage of Children Literature by S.V. Mikhalkov for Upbringing of Moral and Ethical Qualities of Primary School Children

The article presents an analysis of the works of the Russian and Soviet writer S.V. Mikhalkov (1913‒2009) and the experience of teaching them to younger schoolchildren with an emphasis on the education of moral qualities through the prism of age psychology, which is the most important strategic task of the Russian Federation, which is of national importance in pedagogy. The study, based on teaching works for children (“Uncle Styopa”, “The Feast of Disobedience”, “Thomas”, etc.), aims to analyze the texts, the possibility of perception and assimilation of moral norms inherent in them by children of primary school age in classes on Russian literature. Psychological and pedagogical methods were used in the work: observation, conversations, experiment. Research materials: children’s works by S.V. Mikhalkov. As a result, conclusions were drawn about the expediency of using children’s literature by S.V. Mikhalkov for modern moral education of the younger generation of the 21st century.
