Application of raft-technology in the formation of creative and critical thinking of students

The ability for creative and critical thinking is an expected result of education. To improve the quality of creative and critical thinking formation requires the search for effective technologies. The authors offer a RAFT-technology to solve the problem. The purpose of the study is the formation of creative and critical thinking of students on the basis of RAFT technology. Theoretical prerequisites for solving the issue were studied, and the RAFT technology was specified in relation to the formation of creative and critical thinking. The piloting of RAFT technology was carried out in History lessons with the schoolchildren of the 5th, 6th and 8th grades. The criterion for the effectiveness of RAFT technology is the degree of development of creative and critical thinking as important conditions for the self-realization of students. The results show an increase in the level of creative and critical thinking of students in the experimental classes.
