The use of Blended Learning in the Teaching of Artistic and Aesthetic Subjects in Secondary Schools in Iraq

The relevance of the conducted research devoted to the problem of application of blended learning in art education is substantiated. The purpose of the research is formulated: to identify the possibilities of optimization of teaching of subjects of the artistic and aesthetic cycle in the conditions of application of blended learning in secondary schools of Iraq. The theoretical foundations of the carried out work, defi nitions of key concepts of the research are presented. The course of the empirical stage of the research is described, at which a survey of 200 art teachers in Iraqi secondary schools was conducted. The results of the research showed that blended learning is widely used in teaching art; the rotation model is most often used; the main obstacle to its implementation is the preference of parents of students for traditional methods of mastering the content of subjects of the artistic and aesthetic cycle.
