Application of Maslow’s theory of hierarchy of needs in the process formation of military-professional motivation of cadets of military universities: a modern approach

The purpose of this article is to theoretically substantiate the importance of Abraham Maslow’s theory of hierarchy of needs in the process of formation of military professional motivation of cadets of military universities. The study is devoted to the study of the application of A. Maslow’s theory of needs in the educational environment of a military university in order to train future officers with a high level of military professional motivation.The focus is on key elements such as the relationship between meeting the basic needs of military university cadets and their motivation for professional development, as well as the influence of factors of the social environment and professional environment on the formation of stable professional attitudes.Special attention is paid to the relationship between the level of satisfaction of the needs of cadets of military universities and their readiness for fulfilling official duties, taking responsibility for decisions made and striving for career growth. The methods of stimulating military-professional motivation through meeting various levels of needs, starting from providing comfortable living conditions and ending with the creation of opportunities for personal growth and recognition of achievements.In addition, the work touches on current trends in education and personnel management aimed at improving the efficiency of using the potential of each cadet. The possibilities of integrating psychological support and coaching methods into the educational process are considered, as well as the role of mentoring and team building in the formation of military professional motivation of future officers.An attempt has been made to offer a new perspective on the use of the theory of A. Maslow in the practice of military vocational education, emphasizing the importance of an integrated approach to the formation of military professional motivation of cadets and the creation of favorable conditions for their professional development.
