The paper deals with the questions of social and psychological criteria of higher education quality. Various approaches to the quality definition and key problems of higher education are analyzed. Conclusions are drawn on the necessity of use of Vygotsky's, Mid's, Piaget's works as the bases for working out the social and psychological criteria of higher education quality.
