Christianity has a detailed doctrine that uses complex theological language and categories. What is the reason of its origin? What is the specificity of their concrete articulation? Is there a commensurability between the development of Christian doctrine and the development of scientific theories? Is it correct to draw such parallels? The article presents an analysis of the answers to these questions, proposed by the Anglican theologian Alister McGrath.
