The article deals with the approaches to the analysis of the phenomena of “interest”, “reading interest” and “reading culture” in the context of the development of the reading culture of future teachers in higher education institutions in the century of the digital culture. There is described the process of the development of the reading culture of future teachers in Kazakhstan as an indicator of the readiness to teaching activities in the conditions of the digital education in the modern world.
