Studying antonyms in functional-semantic aspect

The communicative method of teaching Russian to school students the author suggests using functional-semantic approach to the learning process organization. It means the students acquire antonymous meanings together with acquiring theoretical knowledge on antonyms. The word is studied not isolatedly but both in its semantic links with other ones, and from the point of view of its functioning in speech. The skill of justified antonym use in communication enriches students’ speech thus making it correct, vivid and precise.
