The article presents a new view of the continuity problem in the development of visual perception of visually impaired preschool and primary school students. The paper reveals the reasons causing necessity of continuity implementation. The authors carry out a comparative analysis of the content of diagnostics, areas for the development of visual perception in preschool and primary school students. It is formulated the expected results of the visual perception development at preschool age from the perspective of continuity.
