Problem-based learning in mathematical training of engineering students

Today, the goal of the educational process in higher education institutions is not only to train specialists with high professional training, but also specialists who are able and able to make independent decisions, which requires an increase in the role of each student in the educational process [1]. The best results, in this case, are provided by such a method of organizing the educational process as a problem-based approach to learning. The article deals with the concept of "problem-based learning" from the point of view of mathematical training of engineering students. This approach explains the maximum activation of students 'thinking and cognitive activity, which contributes to the students' mastering of methods and methods of scientific knowledge, which contributes to the desire to independently update and enrich their knowledge.
