The problems of first year students' adaptation in a higher school (case study of Far Eastern State University of Agriculture)

The article presents the results of the sociological analysis considering the causes of learning difficulties faced by the first-year students of various programs and departments of the Far Eastern State University of Agriculture. The analysis is based on the empirical research. It has been found that the students of the Natural Resource Management Department have less learning difficulties in comparison with the students of the Agronomy and Ecology Department. The long-term study of the first year students' problem structure will expand the range of methods focused on the improvement of pedagogical support.
