Problems of adapting textual materials in teaching Russian as a foreign language to Lao students at a military technical university

The article discusses the adaptation of the Russian-speaking educational text on a military-technical specialty as a teacher's consistent and systemic activity in the process of formal-semantic simplification of text materials in order to help students from Laos master them in the first year of the Aviation University. It notes that a Russian teacher, when adapting special military and technical texts, should not allow distortion of their content or transform the communicative task in an effort to achieve linguistic simplicity and communicative accessibility for foreign speakers. The accuracy requirements are due to the fact that the success of professional activities related to the air operation of military equipment depends on the level of mastery of the main ways of communication. The authors pay attention to the specifics of the methodological tasks of each stage of adaptation, as well as the need for this work to differentiate linguistic phenomena according to the degree of their structural complexity and communicative significance.
