Problems of automation of the social protection system of the population of the Russian Federation (using the example of the scientific production company “Catharsis”)

Automation of processes in the social protection system is one of the main criteria for assessing the quality of life of the population. Information technologies are designed to make the receipt of social support measures and social services more accessible and convenient, as well as to serve as a means to facilitate the work of specialists in the field of social work. The modern stage of economic development is characterized by the intensive use of digital technologies, as well as the use of large amounts of data. The processes of digital transformation are extremely complex and multidimensional. They are influenced by many different factors, among which it is especially important to identify and analyze the key ones in time to make informed strategic decisions. The social sphere is rapidly adapting to the changes associated with the development of information technologies. These technologies are becoming more and more accessible and open new perspectives for their use in the social sphere. The possibilities of providing information services to the population, operational access to relevant information, as well as automation of processes and tasks related to the provision of social services are increasing. The main problems of automation are the unidirectional orientation of the social protection system processes (aimed mainly at the activities of specialists), the duration of the process of social assistance, and the accessibility of social services for different categories of recipients.
