With the development of education digitalization, the scope of student's testing is expanding. However, pedagogical experience shows that philosophy testing has both advantages and disadvantages. On the one hand, it objectifies, standardizes and simplifies the tasks of checking material mastering, but, on the other hand, reduces the ability to think logically and be intellectually creative in the vast majority of students. The paper aims at developing such tests that would allow non-philosophy students to be tested not only for knowledge, but also for the skills of logical and creative thinking. In the course of the study, methods of analysis, generalization and the author's personal experience were used. On the basis of the tests considered, it has been revealed that in philosophy there are ambiguous concept and theories that could be interpreted in different ways. Currently, most of the tasks used are memory tests, so it sometimes leads to cramming. Tests that contribute to the development of logical and creative thinking among students are submitted for discussion. Artificial intelligence capable of operating with logical connections and relations is suggested for testing and checking knowledge.
