The project activity as means of formation of professional competence of undergraduate tourism

The article discusses the training of professional, competent specialist. There is continuity between the professional and educational standards, allowing the use in the educational activities of the competence approach in the preparation of the expert. The authors consider the design activity as an element of professional competence of bachelors of tourism, based on skills, focused on economic impact and socially significant result. It is expected that the project activity is both a goal and a teaching method that creates conditions for the development of abilities underlying competence - the ability to creative thinking, reflection, goal formation, forecasting, choice of solutions, creation of work teams, achieving results, evaluation of its effectiveness.
