The article deals with the issues of the reinterpretation of the educational technologies in the modern socio-economic conditions of Russia and the necessity of the use of the new cognitive approaches. There is considered the method of the project-oriented teaching of foreign languages in master’s degree programs from the perspective of the gender education science. There is described the experience of the use of the project activities for the development of the academic and professional competencies.
