Modern foreign language education should take into account learning process requirements based on students independence and creativity. New social demands pose the following challenges: to prepare school students for solving various arrangement, cognitive and communicative issues, to develop team-working skills, the abilities to organize their cognitive activities and plan collaboratively. These characteristics are included in meta-subject competence of school students, achieved through the development of universal learning activities. Modern teaching technologies, including project technology in a particular course, make it possible to ensure the development of such competence. The study presents one of the procedures for project technology implementation in foreign language lessons. Such activity is carried out according to the requirements of Federal State Educational Standards for school education process. The stages of project technology are described in detail based on the necessity to develop meta-subject, personal and academic results and universal learning activities.
