This article examines the professional competence of specialists in the context of the information society, emphasizing its role in ensuring the success and quality performance of job responsibilities. It underscores the necessity of cultivating this competence in alignment with labor market demands and specific occupational requirements. This is deemed crucial for both practicing professionals and students pursuing relevant fields of study and specialization. Key aspects explored in this study include redefining the essence of professional competence and its interrelations with other types of competencies such as information-communicative, digital, and others. The importance of developing new professional skills is highlighted not only for students but also for educators. The article discusses the utilization of gaming technologies and gamification in educational processes to foster the development of pertinent professional competencies. Additionally, it stresses the need for research on mentorship programs to facilitate the evolution of organizations and the professionals within them in the field. Moreover, the relevance of addressing digital hygiene issues in the information society is acknowledged. These aspects collectively advocate for the practical implementation of a systemic approach aimed at providing psychological and pedagogical support for professionals of diverse profiles in their professional endeavors.
