Professional training of future economists in higher school: a retrospective review of national and international approaches

Development tendencies of approaches and models in training economists in international and Russian practices have been revealed. Analysis of scientific publications showed the pros and cons of realizing society focused, practice focused humanitarian focused approaches to training future economists abroad as well as specifics of using them in the Russian system of economic education. Problems in the professional training connected with smoothing the branch specifics in training future economists at all levels of education have been defined. The role of the fundamental and humanitarian elements in the Russian system of training future economists has been defined. The role of practice focused approach witheducation technologies including different elements of practical work, practices and internships as a necessary condition to form professional competences of the future economists has been proved.
