The article deals with the substantiation of the potential of the use of the model of the professional self-development as the condition of the professional self-determination while developing the tasks for the students in the context of the elective course. There is presented the author’s definition of the professional self-development, its components, the developed tasks for students that are based on the components of the professional self-development. The fulfilment of the tasks supports the activization of the components of the professional self-determination.
