The article analyzes the impact of the transition to teleworking on the professional burn-out of workers. Based on the analysis of foreign and domestic studies, a hypothesis was substantiated about the differences in professional burn-out of employees who initially worked remotely and transferred to such an operating mode in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic. Using the methodology “Diagnostics of the level of emotional burn-out”, a pilot empirical study of 80 employees was carried out and empirical data were analyzed, consistent with the assumption of a greater severity of professional burn-out in the second case, and also revealing a dynamic and content-symptomatic picture of this phenomenon in the compared subsamples. Recommendations for psychological prevention and psychological correction of professional burn-out of both groups of workers are proposed, taking into account the identified common features and differences in their professional burn-out.
