The study of individual differences in respiratory function from the standpoint of interhemispheric asymmetry and interhemispheric interaction is an urgent task in the field of sports, physical education, and yoga. Neuropsychology of norm, which studies the brain organization of the psyche of healthy people, based on neuropsychological methodology, reveals a relationship between the type of interhemispheric organization and voluntary regulation of respiratory function. The types of profile of lateral organization of motor and sensory functions (PLO: righthanders, ambidexters, lefthanders) were identified, and the nature of their distribution in a group of women practicing yoga was analyzed. Depending on the type of profile of interhemispheric asymmetry, differences in voluntary regulation of respiratory function were revealed in people practicing yoga. The relationship between the type of lateral organization and voluntary regulation of respiratory function of women training according to the yoga system was shown.
