Spatial Component of the Educational Environment: Directions and Psychodiagnostic Capabilities of Ecopsychological Research

The article presents an overview of traditional and modern foreign and domestic areas of ecopsychological research devoted to the spatial component of the educational environment. A particular area of research is focused on analyzing the perception of “preferred” places in the educational environment, the aim of which is to determine the significance and role of the spatial component in subjects’ satisfaction with the educational environment. Examples of international and domestic studies focused on identifying and analyzing “preferred” places in the educational environment are provided. Attention is focused on the psychodiagnostic tools used in ecopsychological studies of the spatial component of the educational environment. The practical significance of this study lies in the presentation of systematized information that can help those interested in human interaction and spatial environments select methods and methodological tools relevant to the goals and objectives of their research. Areas related to the organization of non-formal educational spaces and the spatial component of hybrid learning are identified as promising.
