Psychological features of modern high school students’ communication in a situation of uncertainty

The article highlights the results of the research aimed at studying the features of high school students’ communication in a situation of uncertainty, which is characterized by difficulties in forecasting, control and self-control, as well as mental stress. The study aims at identifying the psychological features of modern high school students’ communication and their socio-psychological adaptation in a situation of uncertainty. Standardized methods and questionnaires were used, as well as materials obtained from the Moscow City University Support Line, which opened in March 2022. The sample of subjects comprised 378 high school students of both sexes. The results showed differences in the content of communication between boys and girls, and discrepancies between the need and actual satisfaction in communicating with significant adults. The interrelation of communication characteristics of high school students with indicators of their socio-psychological adaptation was established. The presented results are relevant for understanding the current state of young people's communication sphere and can be used in the work of psychologists, teachers, social educators, and all specialists working with high school students and their families.
