The aim of the study is to analyze and classify actual psychological peculiarities of assessing the educational activity of university. The research methods include: theoretical and methodological analysis of scientific sources, including dissertation studies; the generalization of the analyzed psychological, pedagogical and official materials, Web sources; the survey of scientific and pedagogical staff and university students on the problem under study; the participant observation of the activity of state and non-state private universities (1997-2024). The research results include: the differentiation of psychological peculiarities of assessing the educational activity of a university is possible with the application of three approaches: operational approach to the assessment of a university as an organization, procedural approach to the assessment of the educational activity of a university from the stance of the forming personality of a student as a future professional, technological approach to the evaluation of the educational activity of a university from the position of the psychology of the professional activity development of a higher education teacher. As conclusions specific indicators to assess the educational activity of a university based on the suggested approaches are offered.
