Psychological Characteristics of Adolescents Studying English in the System of Supplementary Education

The article investigates the issue of studying the psychological characteristics of adolescents within the system of supplementary education while learning English. The introduction emphasizes that contemporary education is undergoing active trans-formation, requiring new approaches to organizing the learning process and supporting students. Based on methods of theoretical and empirical research, it is determined that emotional instability during adolescence can negatively affect learning. Consequently, identifying the psycho-pedagogical characteristics of learners becomes a necessary condition for building an effective educational process, particularly in supplementary education, which is voluntary in nature. The conclusions substantiate the need to develop a model of psychological and pedagogical support for adolescents studying English in the system of supplementary edu-cation.
