The specific character and the conditions of forming the polyfunctional competency of future psychologists in higher educational establishment are considered in the article; the concepts of «competence», «competency», «polyfunctional competence» are defined; the levels of development of a future educational psychologist polyfunctional competency are identified; the results of trial research of the polyfunctional competency of first- and second-year students of the psychological department are described in the article.
