The paper shows the relevance of studying and developing the adaptive readiness of a person for a dynamic academic environment. The author analyzes theoretical and practical researches on school adaptation and personal adaptive readiness. The paper reviews the definition of this concept and the approaches to the study of the adaptive process; factors and contexts that contribute to the development of adaptive readiness; development stages of adaptation readiness for academic environment risks; its psychological and specific features at different age periods. The research presents the important psychological and pedagogical prerequisites for school students’ adaptive readiness formation that can be reviewed as the model program for psychological and pedagogical services to harmonize education transitions.
