The article presents the results of a psychosemantic study of motivation and attitudes of technical university students. The content and satisfaction of needs, motives of educational activity, attitude towards oneself, one's future, Russia, the president, politics, the police, protests, drugs, death are analyzed. The conclusion is drawn about a wide range of students' needs and the possibility of their satisfaction at the present time, about a high level of self-esteem, about a low level of educational motivation, about a bipolar attitude towards Russia, about a predominantly negative attitude towards the president, politics, police, protests, drugs and death. At the same time, up to 10% of students who are interested in protest activities, drugs and death were identified, representing a risk group that is predisposed to deviant and extremist behavior.
