“Pskov regional dictionary with historical data” in terms of traditions and innovations in lexicography

Boris Larin among other turned to traditions and innovations in lexicography, it was manifested in his own writings and supervision over students who became his associates. Previously, he created a collective, identified a relevant and promising research direction. He thought out plans in detail, chose material, distinguished the stages of work, and gave instructions, which specified on the way to get the main objective. The Pskov Regional Dictionary with Historical Data became the first in the world lexicography complete dialect dictionary of the 19th-21st centuries and differential historical dictionary of the 13 th-21st centuries. We have shown the specifics of the Pskov Regional Dictionary, which has been preserving the Pskov lexis throughout centuries.
