In the era of globalization, public diplomacy has become a crucial tool for China to overcome the “trust deficit” and build an Asian community with a shared future. This article examines the strategic objectives, challenges, and implementation pathways of China’s public diplomacy toward neighboring countries. The study provides a comprehensive analysis of several structural dilemmas currently faced by public diplomacy in bordering regions. It is noted that traditional intergovernmental interaction alone is no longer sufficient to effectively address perceptual distortions and interstate disputes. The main conclusions of the study indicate that, considering the deep interaction between globalization and the transformation of the geopolitical landscape, China needs to move beyond the traditional paradigm of power politics. It is stated that through the synergistic use of strategic mutual trust, deepening interest integration, and expanding multidirectional people-to-people exchanges, it is possible to lay a solid social foundation and secure sustainable public support for building a community with a shared future among neighboring countries.
