The article examines the importance of accurate advection data for various sectors of the national economy. Wind has a significant impact on the safety and efficiency of transport operations. The history of the development of radar systems is considered, starting with the first experiments in the 1930s and ending with modern meteorological radars that use radio waves to determine atmospheric wind parameters. It describes how radar allows you to obtain information about the wind through the reflection of radio waves from various atmospheric particles, such as raindrops and aerosols, which contributes to a more accurate prediction of weather conditions. In conclusion, it is noted that the use of radar technologies significantly improves the accuracy and efficiency of meteorological forecasts, which is an important aspect for ensuring safety in the transport sector and other areas.
