Rational use of fertilizers contributes to the growth of perennial grass yields and is one of the fundamental elements of agricultural technology, allowing increasing their productivity. Agricultural crops impose specific requirements on various fertilizer elements, thus it is necessary to ensure the optimal amount of each factor for plant life to increase their productivity. Perennial grasses are characterized by a complex of positive biological and ecological properties, they are indispensable components of stable agrocenoses, and, for example, they improve the soil structure, increase its water-holding capacity, and enrich it with organic matter. To realize the productivity potential of these plants, it is necessary to use a scientifically sound fertilizer system. In this regard, an important aspect is the selection of appropriate optimal types of fertilizers and strict adherence to the regulations for their application, taking into account the agrochemical characteristics of the soil of plough layer of a particular field, which ensures an increase in the efficiency of their use. The article analyzes the effect of calculated doses of fertilizers and the timing of their application on the yield of a grass mixture of clover with timothy grown in the Vologda Region.
