Incidence of pathology of ENT organs among patients with psoriasis

The study involved 80 patients with advanced stage of extensive psoriasis at the ages from 19 to 59. The clinical picture, dermatological index of quality of life, personal history, the results of bacteriological analysis have been studied. ENT specialist evaluated the state of ENT organs: the symptoms of chronic tonsillitis have been detected in 77.5% of patients with extensive psoriasis. The incidence of chronic tonsillitis was independent of the patient’s age, the duration of disease, the severity of the skin process, the onset of the disease and the type of psoriasis.
