Development and testing of pedagogical technology aimed at developing students’ understanding of dramatic texts

The problems of lack of continuity in the study of drama and inconsistent development of reading skills related to understanding dramatic works at the level of general education are outlined, and the relevance of the study is substantiated. The pedagogical technology aimed at developing students' understanding of dramatic texts is described, including active teaching methods, ensuring the activity-based nature of mastering the content of the subject "Literature"; stages and conditions for the effectiveness of its implementation, the content of the work. The logic of the organization and the results of the experimental work on testing the developed technology are presented. It is concluded that it allows the teacher to develop students' skills related to understanding drama when working with works belonging to other literary genres (fairy tale, story); to compensate for deficiencies in the reading skills of fifth-graders; to restore continuity between primary and secondary school in the study of drama.
